My Grandad played a large role in organising the fundraising needed for the installation of the 'Weeping Window'. The window is to pay homage to Herefords contribution during the first World War. The ceramic poppies were all hand made and tour the country to different locations, some have also been sold. I was lucky to see them in person as the pictures do not do them nearly enough justice. This installation showed how hard it is and how much effort it takes to arrange an installation on this level, from keeping the designer and artist happy to raising the money needed it has given me insight in to this type of art.
